Biomass is the biodegradable fraction of products, wastes and residues of biological origin from agriculture (including vegetable and animal substances), forestry and related industries, including fisheries and aquaculture, as well as the biodegradable fraction from industrial and municipal wastes.
Many plants are considering using biomass boilers for their process steam. The coupling of a steam boiler with a steam turbine would facilitate the production of electricity alongside process steam in a combined heat and power (CHP) plant.
Broadly speaking, there are two types of biomass boiler: fire-tube and water-tube. Fire tube boiler is generally used for boiler capacities of up to 30 tph and for saturated steam applications. The vast majority of process steam users would be more suited to employ the simpler fire-tube technology. The fire-tube boilers are also simpler to clean and maintain. The water-tube boiler is used for higher pressure applications and has a higher efficiency than the fire-tube boiler. Larger boilers, particularly for CHP and power generation would typically use a water-tube boiler. The fluidized bed boilers are water-tube boilers.

DHL series corner tube chain grate boiler: The boiler has a large furnace area and strong heat exchange. The DHL boilers adopt a fully sealed structure, which reduces the air leakage phenomenon of the furnace. At the same time, the grate side is well sealed, the excess air coefficient of the exhaust pipe is greatly reduced, the smoke is relatively small, and the exhaust heat is exhausted. The loss is small, and the boiler operating efficiency is as high as 83%.
Biomass circulating fluidized bed(cfb) boiler: Circulating fluidized bed boiler is consisting of combustion chamber, separator, fly ash circulating system, superheater, convection bank, economizer, and air preheater. Additionally, biomass CFB boilers offer benefits such as low pollution, high-efficiency combustion, space saving, and high maintainability.
